Well, What's Next?

A tale as old as time, something begins, then it ends, and the limbo that follows lingers longer than anticipated. The unknown is quite possibly one of the most challenging things we deal with as humans. Change is scary by itself, but adding the ambiguity of the future to the equation, well that's a whole other level of fear. So why do we willingly or in my case (unwillingly) put ourselves in these scenarios?

Is it because they say great things come when you step out of your comfort zone? The older I get the more I want to seek safety in my own little bubble, but I want to do great things, and I know I can't play it safe to accomplish my goals. So maybe they're right, maybe now is my time to take off the training wheels and dive head-first into the unknown. By no means do I expect to fly on my first, second, even third try but I know I have to start somewhere. So no matter what your transition is, whether it's a new job, school, relationship, age or just life in general go into that change with an open mind, and trust that everything is happening for a reason, even if that reason is hard to see. Put all your efforts into getting to your next destination, whatever that is just go for it.

We are capable of so much more than we allow ourselves to believe, with the right attitude and work ethic we can do anything we want (as cheesy as that sounds) it's true. Who cares where you are in life, or what you are "supposed" to do next, those things only matter to you and no one else. Challenge yourself to actually think what it is that you want out of life, and realistically plan out how you are going to get there. Focus your mind on what you can do, rather than what you should have done. It won't happen overnight and there will be times where you feel absolutely worthless, but those moments won't last forever and the finish line will feel that much better when you cross it.

Like I've said before, change is inevitable so embrace it. Let these moments guide you to your next big thing. And remember, it's okay to try new things and hate them, that's how we learn. I like to think, "at least I tried and I know." Rather than wishing I should have done something, and living with that regret. I still don't know what I am going to do next, and you might, both are acceptable but either way do yourself a favor and jump into the unknown, you'll never know where you'll land until you try.

XOXO,

Failing Fabulously
